We did it!! Mayhem Kidz placed 1st and School of Mayhem place 3rd in their category. Phantom did not place but, they are one of the only groups to get a participation award. I AM SOO PROUD!!

STOMP 2008+SCHOOL OF MAYHEM=FIRE

Hey, guys...sorry I haven't been posting as often as usual but, I've been busy preparing for STOMP 2008. It is a annual dance competition and of course SCHOOL OF MAYHEM ENTERTAINMENT is going be there!! We have three teams ready to bring the mayhem!!

First is our MAYHEM KIDZ, will be featured in the beginners category...

Next, is our SCHOOL OF MAYHEM dance company, featured in the Advanced category...

As well, is our new addition to the family Phantom, who are also featured in the Advanced category....

The show is this Saturday at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, at Exhibition Place. It starts at 1pm.

By the way, I did the costumes for Mayhem Kidz and helped with the costume concepts for School of Mayhem Dance Company!

Wish us luck...even though we don't need it..lol

Their routine is CRAZY!!!! They are so ADORABLE and they are bringing the MAYHEM!!

...The UPDATE

So, the Lady of Mayhem crew had another meeting this past weekend.

Our discussion involved planning for our fashion show and other promotional events. As well, as writing proposals for these events. I have also, completed some "rough draft" garments a.k.a. muslin to see how it fits on the body and to see if my patterns are correct. My patterns were fair. I still have some corrections to make on it.

I can't wait for you all to see it. I can't wait for you to experience the Mayhem!!!

Which reminds me, I have another meeting tonight for another promotional event. This event is going to be Fierce!! Stay tuned...

So, I was pleased to finally give my outft some lime light. Shannon did a great job portraying a Japanese princess/warrior! And Mayhem photography did his thing as usual!!

...THE UPDATE!!

What's going on with Lady of Mayhem?

PATTERNS, PATTERN, PATTERNS!!!

I have started making patterns for my designs.

The tools that I usually use are various rulers, a lead pencil, tracing paper to trace over the pattern and marking paper to draft my pattern on. Also, a tracing wheel and paper scissor, cause you never use fabric scissor on paper, the sketch of what I will be drafting.........and so on...

Then I will be cutting them out in a fabric called muslin, which you use as a rough copy. From there my team and I will go over the designs and make corrections. And than I am back to doing....PATTERNS, PATTERNS AND MORE PATTERNS...

As much as I complain, I love it!!!

Mayhem Photography Shoot

On this bright and sunny day, I spent my time in a forest styling a photo shoot. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing and I ended up using an outfit I designed a couple of years ago. We were going for a high fashion look. The outfit I designed was inspired by a Geisha. I basically took the idea of a traditional kimono robe and exaggerated it. The sun was HOT! I felt sorry for Shannon who had to wear that big kimono jacket but, she still WORKED IT! The shoot turned out pretty good. I had fun!! IT WAS MAYHEM!!
